Kansas AgrAbility is hosting a Regional Training Event in Manhattan, Kansas November 16-18, 2021. Registration is open through November 10th.

Regional AgrAbility Workshops are a great way to network with AgrAbility peers and other professionals that have a role in assisting our clients.

November 16-17 will include presenations focusing on farmer stress, working with Vocational Rehabilitation, working with veterans, business planning and helping farm families recover from a crisis. There will be speakers from the National AgrAbility Project, Kansas AgrAbility Project, Kansas Vocational Rehabilitation, Ft. Riley Soldier Recovery Unit, Farm Rescue, Sunny Days Farm, and others.

Thursday November 18th will be a day of Agricultural Tours. Including tours of Lazy T Ranch, Konza Prairie Biological Station and the Kansas Wheat Innovation Center.

In addition to those who are interested in assisting farmers with a disability or long-term health condition, this workshop would be helpful to:

  • Service providers (VR, state agencies, governmental organizations)
  • Agricultural professionals (Extension, FFA, ag educators)
